Wirral Community Patrol

Wirral Community Patrol is now an integral part of the Safer Wirral Hub, whose main objective is to provide safety and security to the school, staff and pupils, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Services include alarm monitoring, key holding response service and both static and mobile security patrols to the school in accordance with the relevant service level agreement. Partners include Merseyside Police and Fire Services.

Included in the service

  • Full-site security survey
  • Mobile security patrols when the school is closed
  • The monitoring of all alarms using the latest technology
  • Response to all alarms, including false alarms - resetting the systems
  • Alongside our partner agencies deal with 'Lock-Down' situations
  • Lone worker monitoring
  • Dealing with problem parking situations at key times
  • Providing static guards for evening events or other situations
  • Key holding and key holder pick up
  • Monthly reports of site visits
  • Sending information on every alarm activation, detailing the incident and our actions
  • Annual security checks to the building along with random checks

Further Information

All patrol staff entering a building will wear body worn video. This is stored within our control room for 30 days in date protection.

Quality Assurance

  • We have listened to Headteacher and senior members of staff about their service requirements and have implemented the changes to ensure the service is the best available to the client
  • We now have detailed records of visits to schools and emails are sent to the nominated email address within 12 hours of any incident
  • All staff are SIA, first aid and fire marshall trained and police cleared to access police information and work out of police stations
  • All our vehicles have trackers and register when they are at a school
